This MOU has been made between Srinakharinwirot University & faculties, colleges, Institutes, offices, and agencies within the university; to achieve Carbon Neutrality within Srinakharinwirot University. The university is conscious of the causes and effects of Climate Change & strives to find a path to mitigate the effects of greenhouse gas emissions, to move toward a low-emission society and Carbon Neutrality within 2040. Which aligned with the university's framework of physical development under the national goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality within 2050 and Net Zero GHG emission within 2065, as announced during the COP27 conference.

However, to provide clear guidelines for cooperation and actions based upon the common wishes of all agencies within the university, it has written up this MOU.

Article 1 Objectives of Cooperation
1.1) To propose measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and introduce carbon capture capability within Srinakharinwirot University
1.2) To build a model organization in managing the Carbon Footprint of all agencies within the university.
1.3) To develop the institution into an organization that strives toward Carbon neutrality within 2040.

Article 2 Cooperation Framework
2.1) The University and other agencies participating in propelling the greenhouse gas emissions and propose measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the institution, supporting the SWU Carbon Neutrality policy to achieve its objectives within 2040; Jointly defined within the following important points:
2.2) Cooperate and promote various activities to support the SWU Carbon Neutrality policy, accomplishing it within 2040.
2.3) Cooperate and promote the recording of basic information, namely in projects such as – Building basic infrastructure work, Power management, Waste management, Water management, and other relevant businesses – Creating a database to account for the university’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Propose measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the institute and introduce carbon capture within Srinakharinwirot University.
