โครงการวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ลหลัก คือ การประเมินผลลัพธ์ทางสังคม (Social Impact Assessment) จากการดำเนินงานของกลุ่มวิจัยสิ่งแวดล้อมสรรค์สร้างเพื่อสุขภาวะ คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ที่ดำเนินการสร้างองค์ความรู้ด้านการออกแบบสิ่งแวดล้อมสรรค์สร้างในโรงพยาบาล ด้วยเครื่องมือทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ในการประเมินผลตอบแทนทางสังคมจากกการลงทุน (Social Return On Investment; SROI) ผลการประเมินพบว่า การดำเนินกิจกรรมที่เป็นการบูรณาการระหว่าง [1] องค์ความรู้ทางสถาปัตยกรรม [2] องค์ความรู้ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมสรรค์สร้างเพื่อสุขภาวะ และ [3] กระบวนการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย ส่งผลให้เกิดผลผลิต (Output) ของโครงการ ได้แก่ แผนแม่บทอาคาร ซึ่งนำไปสู่ผลลัพธ์ (Outcome) คือ สุขภาวะที่ดีขึ้นในโรงพยาบาล

The main objective of this research project is to assess the social impact of the project of the Developing Built Environment for Health in Hospitals project done by the Built Environment for Health Research Group, Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University. The evaluation tool used in this project is the Social Return On Investment (SROI). Regarding the evaluation results, we found that implementing activities that integrate [1] knowledge of architecture, [2] knowledge of built environment for health, and [3] stakeholder participation process generates the output as the building master plan which leads to a wellbeing outcome in the hospital.

โดยคณะผู้วิจัยประเมินผลตอบแทนทางสังคมจากการลงทุนจากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 4 โรงพยาบาลเป็นค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 1.917 ซึ่งหมายความว่า ทุก ๆ การลงทุนด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมสรรค์สร้างเพื่อสุขภาวะ 1 บาท ได้ก่อให้เกิดสุขภาวะที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทางที่ดีขึ้นแก่บุคคลากรและผู้ที่เข้ามาใช้บริการในโรงพยาบาลคิดเป็นผลตอบแทนเฉลี่ย 1.917 บาท

The average Social Return On Investment is estimated from a sample of four hospitals which is equal to 1.917. This means that every Baht of investment in wellness-building environments contributes to a change in well-being in the hospital environment with an average return of 1.917 Baht.
