Human are precious resources and they are very important to the development of the country in terms of economy, society, politics and governance. In order to develop the country to make it more progressive, we must accelerate the development of a quality population. Both in health, physical, mental, emotional, social and intellectual development of human resources, especially in the elderly. To lead to have a good quality of life. The granting of such human resources have a “Health for all” which is a condition in which the elderly, etc., have a health condition in which they can live a valuable life both economically and socially, able to study Efficient business operations and participate in the development of institutions, organizations, as well as communities and the nation. One of the important things to promote the health of such groups is the promotion of physical health and exercise. In addition, Thailand is in the process of transitioning into an aging society. According to the United Nations World Population Aging, after 2009, the population in dependent age is children and the elderly will be greater than the working-age population and in 2017. It will be the first time in history that the population of children is less than the elderly. This situation is the result of a rapid decline in fertility and a steady decline in the mortality level of the population. This caused is to the number and proportion of the elderly population of Thailand increase rapidly. According to the population data of Thailand in 2013, Thai population is 64.6 million people, 9.6 million of which are elderly people. It is expected that in 2030 there will be 17.6 million elderly people (26.30%) and in 2040 there will be 20.5 million people (32.10%). The government and private agencies jointly worked to protect, promote and support the status, roles and activities of the elderly together with the government's policy on the elderly. The elderly often has mood changing such as sadness, indifference, self-centeredness.
According to the problems of the elderly, the Faculty of Physical Education has realized and foreseen the importance of entering an aging society and prepare for entering an aging society. The Faculty of Physical Education is responsible for producing graduates in the majors of Health Education, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports Science and Public Health Science. It has a policy of integrating academic services to the community in a holistic way It is integrated with teaching in all majors in 5 departments. And it is an opportunity for students to apply the knowledge gained from teaching and learning to practice their experience in serving academics to society and organizing activities that are beneficial to the community.
