Outstanding Projects

The Creative Economy Entrepreneur Incubation Project, now in its third year in the 2023 fiscal year, focuses on providing academic services related to the design and development of clothing for the Tai Ngam Weaving Group in Khao Chakan District, Sa Kaeo Province. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote continuous creative production through knowledge, innovation, and product development. It allows faculty members and students from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts to produce creative works consistently. The goal is to further empower faculty and students by helping them transform creative works, research, and innovations into practical applications, such as developing techniques for creating innovative works of art and translating creative production into intellectual property rights. Additionally, the project aims to enhance the value of community products through the design and development of traditional clothing. Objectives: The project aims to create prototype clothing products for the Tai Ngam Weaving Group in Khao Chakan District, Sa Kaeo Province.

Impact

The project resulted in the creation of 8 prototype clothing sets, developed using resources from the Tai Ngam Weaving Group in Khao Chakan District, Sa Kaeo Province. Faculty and students received capacity-building in product design, specifically for use in the operations of the Tai Ngam Weaving Group. The project also helped promote the cultural heritage of traditional attire by designing products that are directly relevant to the activities of the weaving group, contributing to the preservation and innovation of local textile arts.
