The Educational Drama to Instill Love for Tooth Brushing and Prevent Tooth Decay in Early Childhood project integrates social sciences with medical and health sciences, SDGs, and the teaching of the course DAE402 Drama in Education. This integration benefits the implementation of activities, allowing students to apply their knowledge and abilities for the benefit of others by organizing educational drama activities in the form of lectures. The process includes identifying problems to create scripts, designing performances, sets, and costumes to present educational drama that instills a love for tooth brushing and prevents tooth decay in learners. Early childhood learners gain knowledge and develop a habit of tooth brushing to prevent tooth decay through watching educational drama, promoting oral hygiene discipline. The cross-disciplinary nature of these activities is reviewed for appropriateness by experts in designing learning processes for children and in pediatric and preventive dentistry.
The project resulted in the development of 61 early childhood learners, who gained knowledge and developed a love for tooth brushing to prevent tooth decay through educational drama activities. These activities promoted oral hygiene discipline and imparted knowledge about good oral care habits. The recipients of the academic services expressed satisfaction with the services provided in the strategic area of the Faculty of Fine Arts' "Saen Saep Model". Faculty members and students applied their knowledge and skills to provide academic services, fostering development among project participants and leading to positive improvements. In the future, this project can lead to the development of innovative teaching methods that can enhance learning and help learners better understand the content. It also encourages learner participation, promotes analytical thinking skills, creative problem-solving, and enhances listening, speaking, and creative expression of opinions by using drama as a medium for learning development.
