This approach provides students with experience and training in performance management and problem-solving skills, which are desirable attributes for dance students. The Department of Thai and Asian Music emphasizes creative thinking, academic and professional leadership, ethical strength and courage, and the ability to guide and impart knowledge to learners, educational institutions, communities, and society creatively.
The project integrates with the courses CDM223 THAI DRAMA AND PERFORMANCE TRADITION and MSE437 MUSIC FOR CEREMONY. It aims to enhance students' skills, abilities, and self-development potential, teaching them planning, evaluation, and effective collaboration. The project also provides an opportunity for students to present their creative works to a wider public audience, allowing students, scholars, and interested individuals to view the students' work. This serves as an academic service in arts and culture, promoting moral, ethical, and professional values in creating musical, dance, and performing arts works, as well as preserving cultural heritage. Additionally, the project includes recreational activities involving body movement to Pong Lang music rhythms for all age groups, promoting physical health.
